QuickMapTools is built and maintained by Daniel O'Donohue, a geospatial professional with over 17 years of experience working with GIS data across desktop, web, mobile, and cloud platforms.
Daniel is the CEO and host of the MapScaping Podcast, a podcast for the geospatial community. He has worked as a GIS consultant, project leader, and research scientist across organisations in New Zealand, Denmark, and the United States, including roles at NIRAS, DONG Energy, and the MIT Geospatial Data Center.
QuickMapTools was created to make common geospatial tasks accessible to everyone -- directly in the browser, with no uploads and no servers. All processing happens locally on your device using WebAssembly technology, so your data never leaves your machine.
